Beauty along the road

Recently, Jeffrey reminds me of not seeing me taking any scenic pictures. I guess he’s 100% right! . I was so busy at taking bookings, shooting and editing work. I am so in love with people that’s why I don’t have many landscape pictures at all.

Well, nothing works better for taking landscape photograph than making a road trip.

Couple weeks ago, we planned to go to Houston together but we couldn’t able to make it due to bad weather. One day, there was icing on the road and the other day, it was snowing. Somehow, we didn’t order the right weather for our trip :)

Anyway, we did our first road trip for 2011. It wasn’t a long one but it was a fun one. We changed our destination to Austin instead. I’ve been to Austin couple times and I absolutely love it. It’s a pretty city with so many neat places to see along the road. Jeffrey made his first stop at Paper Bear in San Marcos. I got to pose with a little cute motorbike. Whenever I saw a motorbike on the road, it made me feel homesick. I am a girl who came from the city of million motorbikes. Beijing has been known for a city of million bicycles and Ho Chi Minh City has almost the same number of motorbikes. Posing with a motorbike completely made my trip. ( told you I am a happy artist ...…it’s easy to make me smile :)

Along the journey, I kept telling myself: “No pictures of yourself Ruby!!!. No people pictures either!!!Just focus to the scenic”. I actually made it and enjoyed the scenic. Jeffrey and I got to see the sunset together as we drove home.

For some reasons, I love watching sunrise and sunset with Jeffrey.  I love to hold his hand when we’re together. We have just celebrated our second anniversary. I am so blessed to have such a great guy in my life.

Here come some pictures I shot along the road.

" To love is not to look at one another, but to look in the same direction"

Couple days ago, I received a msg on  facebook from a stranger. She wrote to me :" I stumbled upon your pictures and they are fantastic!!! I was sincerely sucked in. So much so, that I needed to send you a message and tell you how incredibly talented you are. So much beauty. That background makes me wonder, how you see the world around you? How is that perspective evident in your art?"
We soon become good friend of one another and here is my answer for her :)
I see the world in different angles and lot of colors in it.
Enjoy my pictures and have a wonderful day!

PS 1: Here is our "must stop" on our way home. Awesome Greek food even they DO insult my cooking skill lolz

PS2: Btw, I know you all love my photography when it comes to portraits and fashion. Now you get to see another side of the photographer in me..... and IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO TELL ME TO GO BACK TO WHAT I AM REALLY GOOD AT and it's perfectly fine to tell me that RUBY, YOUR LANDSCAPE PICTURES SUCK!!!! lolz!!!

Have a beautiful weekend!!! love ya all!

Love them anyway

"People are unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered.
    Love them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
    Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and true enemies.
    Succeed anyway.
The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
    Be good anyway.
Honesty and frankness will make you vulnerable.
    Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
    Build anyway.
People need help, but may attack you if you try to help them.
    Help them anyway.
Give the world the best you have and you may get hurt.
Give the world your best anyway.
For you see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway."
